King Charles III “saving” title for Princess Charlotte

<p dir="ltr">King Charles III is reportedly saving the title of Duchess of Edinburgh for his granddaughter Princess Charlotte.</p> <p dir="ltr">It was previously expected that when Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, died in 2021, the title would be given to Prince Edward. </p> <p dir="ltr">But Charles inherited the title and now its future is up in air with talks of him saving it for Princess Charlotte as she is third in line to the throne. </p> <p dir="ltr">"It would be a fitting way to remember the Queen – who, of course, had the title Duchess of Edinburgh – and a way for His Majesty to honour the line of succession,” a source told The Mail on Sunday. </p> <p dir="ltr">The Palace did not release any comment about the title. </p> <p dir="ltr">Princess Charlotte is the first female in the Royal Family to not be removed from her line of succession by her younger brother thanks to the Succession to the Crown Act (2013).</p> <p dir="ltr">The new law saw women born in the Royal Family after October 2011 holding their place of succession no matter if they had a younger male in the family. </p> <p dir="ltr">"It is not beyond the realms of possibility that she will accede the throne if, for example, Prince George does not have children," the source continued. </p> <p dir="ltr">The decision of who becomes the Duke or Duchess of Edinburgh was always going to be King Charles’ decision.</p> <p dir="ltr">It was also his parents’ wish that Prince Edward would become the next Duke of Edinburgh, but now only time will tell. </p> <p dir="ltr"><em>Images: Getty</em></p>

Princess Charlotte breaks down at QEII’s funeral

<p dir="ltr">Princess Charlotte broke down in tears at her great grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. </p> <p dir="ltr">The seven-year-old wiped away her tears as she was comforted by her mum the Princess of Wales as they bid farewell to the late monarch. </p> <p dir="ltr">The young royal was in attendance at the funeral with her older brother Prince George at Westminster Abbey, which was the same location where the Queen had her coronation in 1953 and her wedding in 1947.</p> <p dir="ltr">Princess Charlotte was also seen advising her brother to “bow” when the hearse drove past them. </p> <p dir="ltr">Prince George was also later comforted by his mother who patted his knee in reassurance. </p> <p dir="ltr">After the service, the Queen’s coffin left the Abbey to head off to Windsor where she will be privately buried at King George VI Memorial Chapel in St George's Chapel.</p> <p dir="ltr">Around 2000 people from around the world were invited to the historical event to farewell Queen Elizabeth II. </p> <p dir="ltr"><em>Images: Getty</em></p>

How to be safe online

<p>Are you wary of banking online? You’re not alone. Here’s a guide to being safe when using the world wide web.</p> <p>From banking online and paying your bills to doing your weekly grocery shop, the internet is handy. But is it safe to do all of those things? Yes, if you know how to be safe online.</p> <p>Many baby boomers have voluntarily shared personal information with people they have never met in person, according to anti-virus developer McAfee. This didn’t include online shopping or business transactions.</p> <p>A total of 57% of people had shared information or posted personal information online, which Michelle Dennedy, vice president and chief privacy officer at McAfee, says is a big concern.</p> <p>“The use of social networks among people 50 plus is trending now that it’s become more commonplace across all age groups,” she reveals. “It seems counterintuitive that sharing personal information with strangers would not concern them, however. This further highlights their need to better understand the difference between the real and perceived dangers online and how to best protect themselves."</p> <p><strong>How do you protect yourself online?</strong> <br />The first step is being aware of the dangers of using the internet. While researching for recipes or local dog beaches is relatively harmless, it’s submitting personal information, such as your contact or banking details, where caution needs to be applied. If you’re banking online, always make sure you go to your bank’s official URL (web address) and not a fake site and if you receive an email from what looks like your bank asking for your details, delete it.</p> <p>Banks are adamant that any emails from them will never ask for their customer’s banking details, since this is a security risk. If you’re ever unsure and do receive an email from your bank asking for information, contact their call centre.</p> <p><strong>Emails to delete</strong><br />Many online scams will come in the form of an email. While email providers have their own security measures to filter out what they think are dodgy messages, it’s best to know what to look out for. If you receive an email from a company or person you don’t know, treat it with caution.</p> <p>Emails that contain poor spelling or grammar, ask for your personal information, offer deals or prizes that seem too good to be true, or ask you to “donate” a large sum of money, delete it. The best policy is one of caution and constant vigilance.</p> <p><strong>Avoid banking online at a public computer</strong><br />When it comes to protecting your hard-earned cash, it always pays to be extra cautious. If you’re at an internet cafe or using a public wi-fi connection with your laptop or tablet, it’s best to avoid doing anything that requires you to share important personal information. While it may be safe with some connections, it may not be with others. Banking websites do have their own security measures for when you’re using their site, but it’s always better to be cautious.</p> <p>If you’re using a public computer, remember to log out of any sites containing your personal information. This could be your email, Facebook or your online dating profile. You don’t want the person who uses the computer after you to have access to your details. Another key consideration is to keep your passwords private. Avoid sharing them with other people and try to make it a series of letters or numbers you will remember, but that is difficult for others to guess.</p> <p><strong>Be a smart shopper</strong><br />If you love to grab a bargain online, be a smart shopper. Make sure the website you’re buying from is legitimate and not a fake version of the real thing. A good tip is to keep a record of all of your online receipts and to regularly monitor your bank statements. If you ever see a purchase on your bank or credit card statement that you’re not sure about, look back through your receipts before contacting your bank to investigate further.</p>

Princess Charlotte’s show-stopping faces

<p dir="ltr">Princess Charlotte stole the show at the Commonwealth Games with her adorable animated facial expressions.</p> <p dir="ltr">The seven-year-old attended the games with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to watch the swimming at Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Birmingham on Tuesday. </p> <p dir="ltr">During the races, the Duchess was explaining things about the race, while Prince William watched on. </p> <p dir="ltr">As England’s Luke Turley prepared for the 1500m freestyle the Princess and her parents watched on in glee.</p> <p dir="ltr">Turley smashed a gruelling 30 lengths of the pool in 15:35.65 which qualified him for the final on Wednesday.</p> <p dir="ltr">Princess Charlotte smiled when the race came to the end before rolling her eyes about something her dad said. </p> <p dir="ltr">Several images captured the Princess’ cute facial expressions as she watched the races.</p> <p dir="ltr">Check them out below. </p> <p dir="ltr"><em>Images: Getty </em></p>

"Her smile is all Diana": Royal fans flip out over Princess Charlotte's looks

<p>Royal fans have gone wild over how much Princess Charlotte, 7, is beginning to look like her late grandmother Princess Diana.</p> <p>The young royal made a rare appearance on social media as she joined her father, Prince William, in a video message to share their well wishes to the England women's football team ahead of their Euro final game.</p> <p>After the post racked up almost one million likes in a matter of hours, royal fans flocked to the comments to note how Charlotte bares an uncanny resemblance to the late Princess of Wales.</p> <p>One person commented, "Charlotte is starting to look just like Princess Diana."</p> <p>Another wrote, "Princess Charlotte = Princess Diana's looks + Kate's idiosyncrasy."</p> <p>A third person said, "Awww Princess Charlotte is sooo cute! Her little voice! And wow, she looks like William, Catherine and Diana at the same time! Her smile is all Diana."</p> <p>Addressing Prince William, a fourth commented, "Beautiful Charlotte, I can see your mum Diana in her, beautiful."</p> <p>"Princess Charlotte is so beautiful like her mother - and Princess Diana," another commented.</p> <p>In the video, Princess Charlotte sat with Prince William as they wished the Lionesses good luck in the 2022 Euro final against Germany.</p> <p>"We both want to wish the Lionesses the best of luck for tonight," William said.</p> <p>"You've done amazingly well in the competition and we're rooting for you all the way."</p> <p>Sitting on her father's lap, Charlotte chimes in with a short and sweet declaration of her own, saying, "Good luck, I hope you win. Princess Charlotte joins her dad in rare video message

<p>Princess Charlotte has joined Prince William in a rare video message as the royal father and daughter wished England's football team good luck in the Euro 2022 women's final.</p> <p>In the video shared by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on Instagram, William and Charlotte sent a message to the Lionesses, who later made history by winning their first major women's tournament by beating Germany 2-1.</p> <p>"We both want to wish the Lionesses the best of luck for tonight," William said. </p> <p>"You've done amazingly well in the competition and we're rooting for you all the way."</p> <p>Sitting on her father's lap, Charlotte chimes in with a short and sweet declaration of her own, saying, "Good luck, I hope you win. It is a significant achievement for the entire team, including your support staff," Her Majesty said in a statement.</p> <p>"The Championships and your performance in them have rightly won praise. However, your success goes far beyond the trophy you have so deservedly earned."</p> <p>"You have all set an example that will be an inspiration for girls and women today, and for future generations. The new royal title awaiting Princess Charlotte

<p>Princess Charlotte could receive a new title when her father, Prince William, becomes king. </p> <p>The Duke of Cambridge, 40, is currently second in line to the throne, meaning it is very likely he will become the reigning king during his lifetime. </p> <p>As a new monarch ascends the throne and the line of succession changes, some members of the royal family may receive a new title.</p> <p>As for 7-year-old Princess Charlotte, the young royal could be given the title of The Princess Royal, which is traditionally bestowed upon the eldest daughter of the sovereign.</p> <p>It would make Princess Charlotte the eighth Princess Royal in British royal history.</p> <p>The title is currently held by Anne, the Queen’s eldest daughter, who received it in 1987.</p> <p>According to stringent royal protocol, the title is held for life, even if the holder outlives the monarch, meaning only one person can hold the title at any one time. </p> <p>Under these rules, Princess Charlotte will only be eligible for the title if Princess Anne passes away and Prince William becomes king. </p> <p>As Princess Charlotte and her siblings George, 8, and Louis, 4, have gotten older, they have been taking part in more royal public engagements, most recently stealing the show at the Queen's platinum jubilee celebrations. </p> <p><em>Image credits: Getty Images</em></p>

Outrage over coverage of Charlotte at Platinum Jubilee

<p>Viewers of the Platinum Jubilee’s Party at the Palace have criticised the BBC for showing Princess Charlotte looking “bored”.</p> <p>The young royal attended the concert celebrating the Queen’s 70 years on the throne with mum, Kate Middleton and Dad, Prince William alongside older brother George.</p> <p>She looked thrilled for much of the evening, proudly waving a flag with her sibling. But occasionally, the camera panned to the seven-year-old yawning and looking a little disinterested.</p> <p>Those watching at home were quick to condemn the broadcaster, insisting the children had had a long day, with both George and Charlotte accompanying their parents on a royal visit to Wales that morning.</p> <p>Children’s author Helena Pielichaty said: “Stop panning to Prince George and Princess Charlotte just to catch them looking bored and fidgety – give them a break.”</p> <p><img src="https://oversixtydev.blob.core.windows.net/media/2022/06/Princess-Charlotte-bored.jpg" alt="" width="708" height="388" /></p> <p>Someone else wrote on Twitter: “Everyone saying Prince George and Princess Charlotte are ‘bored’. She and George appeared to love the outing chuckling as Charlotte led musicians performing We Don’t Talk About Bruno from the hit Disney film Encanto.</p> <p>Younger brother Prince Louis, who appeared on the Buckingham Palace’s balcony with his family after Trooping the Colour on Thursday – missed out on the visit, as well as the day three celebrations.</p> <p>The Queen was also not in attendance after missing Sunday's Epsom Derby Day, opting instead to watch it on TV from Windsor Castle in her “comfy clothes”. Princess Charlotte turns seven

<p>In celebration of Princess Charlotte's seventh birthday, three new photos of the young royal have been released. </p> <p>The charming photos, taken by Kate Middleton, were released by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on Charlotte's birthday, on May 2nd. </p> <p>In a statement, Prince William and Kate said they were "delighted to share" the new images of their daughter.</p> <p>The photographs were taken in Norfolk this weekend by the duchess, who has been taking official portraits of her children for their birthday for many years now.</p> <blockquote class="instagram-media" style="background: #FFF; <p><span>The Cambridge family have made the most of their summer holidays.</span><br /><br /><span>However, Prince George, 8, and Princess Charlotte, 6, are set to return back to school while their little brother, three-year-old Prince Louis will start his second year of nursing school.</span><br /><br /><span>While the three siblings along with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been vacationing in the UK this year, it is reported the family opted for a trip to the Isles of Scilly during their summer break.</span><br /><br /><span>A royal insider told<em> OK! magazine</em> that Duchess Kate chooses to be a hands-on parent, and because of that, the family have had a highly organised, jam-packed summer.</span><br /><br /><span>"Because of who they are, William and Kate have had to be highly organised parents,” the source said.</span><br /><br /><span>“But as parents, Wills and Kate have developed this brilliant knack of letting as much as they can seem spontaneous and that’s how the children see it.”</span></p> <p><img style="width: 500px; height: 281.25px;" src="https://oversixtydev.blob.core.windows.net/media/7843571/george-charlotte-louis-1.jpg" alt="" data-udi="umb://media/72520a753d714687b08e3eeb4ef4cdb9" /><br /><br /><span>The insider added that Kate ensures her children are on their best behaviour while in public.</span><br /><br /><span>They said: “Table manners, thank you letters, little courtesies are being drilled into the children so they become automatic.</span><br /><br /><span>“If George has been naughty, and he has been on occasion, Kate and William are good at explaining to him the rights and wrongs of what’s happened”.</span><br /><br /><span>Both Charlotte and George go to Thomas’s Battersea, an exclusive primary school in London.</span><br /><br /><span>Prince Louis will attend Willcocks Nursery School for another year, before he follows in his older siblings steps and graduates to Battersea.</span></p> <p><span><em>Images: Getty Images</em><br /></span></p>

<p>The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a sweet photo on <a rel="noopener" href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CSROE82tA8w/" target="_blank">Instagram</a> on the weekend of their six-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte, cradling a delicate, orange and black butterfly.</p> <p>In the post, her loving parents wrote: “We wanted to share these beautiful Peacock and Red Admiral butterflies as part of Big #ButterflyCount initiative taking place across the UK.”</p> <p>The initiative is run by <a rel="noopener" href="https://bigbutterflycount.butterfly-conservation.org/" target="_blank">Butterfly Conservation</a>, a British charity which is trying to find out more about the health of the environment by asking people to count the number of butterflies they see.</p> <p>On their Instagram post, Prince William and Kate wrote: “@savebutterflies are encouraging us all to count these incredible creatures because not only are they beautiful creatures to be around but they are also extremely important. Butterflies are vital parts of the ecosystem as both pollinators and components of the food chain. Hopefully you can beat last year’s total, @savebutterflies.”</p> <p>The particular butterfly which Charlotte is holding is called a red admiral butterfly and it’s found in Europe, North and South America and Asia. It’s the most popular butterfly in urban areas, according to the <a rel="noopener" href="https://www.fs.fed.us/wildflowers/pollinators/pollinator-of-the-month/red-admiral-butterfly.shtml" target="_blank">US Forest Service</a>.</p> <p>While many royal watchers and fans enjoyed seeing this rare photo of Charlotte with the beautiful butterfly, some noticed ways in which she’s beginning to resemble her royal relatives.</p> <p>“She looks like queen Elizabeth,” observed one person.</p> <p>“The mini edition of Kate.... charlotte is so pretty,” another wrote.</p> <p>“Charlotte looks so beautiful,” added another. “She is the female version of William. Daddy must be very proud of his little girl.”</p> <p>This isn’t the first time Charlotte has been enjoying the beauty of the natural world around her. Last year, Charlotte and her brothers, Prince George and Prince Louis, asked some animal-related questions to the well-known British environmentalist, David Attenborough, in a very cute video.</p> <p>At the time, Charlotte was five years old and she said: “I like spiders. Do you like spiders too?”</p> <p>Attenborough answered: “I love spiders, I’m so glad you like them! I think they’re wonderful things. Why is it that people are so frightened of them? I think it’s because they’ve actually got eight legs, which is much more than us. And if you’ve got eight legs, you can move in any direction, so you can never be quite sure which way that spider is going to go.”</p> <p>As well, in May of this year we were able to see a new photo of princess Charlotte as her family celebrated her sixth birthday. New Princess Charlotte photo evidence for Aussie "son" of Charles and Camilla

<p>A Queensland man who claims he is the secret love child of Prince Charles and Camilla has released a shocking series of new photographs comparing his family to members of the royal family.</p> <p>Simon Dorante-Day made global headlines since he went public with his claims that he says are a culmination of years of research.</p> <p>And now, the British-Australian man has featured Princess Charlotte, Prince Charles, Prince William, and other senior royals to further prove his claim.</p> <p>One comparison photograph has piqued interest for the “striking similarity” between Princess Charlotte and Dorante-Day’s daughter Meriam.</p> <p>Dorante-Day also released a photograph of his son Liam alongside Prince Charles and also Prince Andrew which surprised many with one observer saying there was “no denying this one”.</p> <p>Dorante-Day told<span> </span><a rel="noopener" href="https://7news.com.au/" target="_blank"><em>7NEWS.com.au</em></a><span> </span>that he himself is surprised by the resemblance between his children a number of other royals.</p> <p>“The one of Liam and Prince Charles really got me,” he said.</p> <p>Dorante-Day went on to say: “I think it’s really hard to look at that one and not see the resemblance, it’s pretty compelling.</p> <p>“The one with Princess Charlotte and our Meriam is also a head-turner. We have always had people tell us how much she looks like Charlotte - even by people who don’t know about our background.</p> <p>“But to see it in black and white is pretty hard to refute.</p> <p>“We are always receiving these sorts of comparisons that supporters on my Facebook page and royal fans and watchers have put together.</p> <p>“They’re always fascinating and definitely gives people food for thought.”</p> <p>A number of curious people have commented on the similarity between the Dorante-Day’s and British royal family members.</p> <p>“There is no denying here,” one person said.</p> <p>Another wrote: “I must say the area above the top lip is typical Windsor on all the children including yourself Simon.”</p> <p>Said one more: “Wow. it’s amazing how much you and your children look like the royal family I wish you good luck and hope the truth comes out in the end.”</p>

Princess Charlotte is growing up so fast!

New Prince William documentary includes unseen photos of George, Charlotte and Louis

Princess Charlotte’s sweet reaction to meeting Sir David Attenborough in new royal photograph

Prince William and Kate reveal Charlotte and Louis' latest obsession

<p><span>Prince William and Duchess Kate are both fiercely protective parents over their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis.</span><br /><br /><span>However they do tend to share a few details about their adorable clan, and most recently they have revealed that Princess Charlotte has a new obsession.</span><br /><br /><span>At 5-years-old, it may come as no surprise that little Char has developed a new love for construction equipment.</span><br /><br /><span>While the proud parents spoke to employers helping people find jobs amid the coronavirus pandemic, they met Lloyd Graham, the community engagement manager for construction company Keltbray.</span><br /><br /><span>He told the royal couple the company is hiring workers and offering apprenticeships for demolition work.</span></p> <p><img style="width: 500px; height: 281.25px;" src="https://oversixtydev.blob.core.windows.net/media/7837941/royal-kids-2.jpg" alt="" data-udi="umb://media/623ecfffa9814dfca18e481ede0fc8c9" /><br /><br /><span>"The children — especially Louis — would love to come and watch that, to see the diggers, they love it," Prince William said.</span><br /><br /><span>Kate, then jumped in adding: "Don't forget Charlotte! She'd love it too."</span><br /><br /><span>Prince William previously revealed their two-year-old son is also a big fan of tractors.</span><br /><br /><span>"We've been lambing with the children this week," the 38-year-old admitted after the Wales vs France Six Nations Match in February.</span><br /><br /><span>"Charlotte wasn't sure at first, but George was straight in there. Louis loves the tractors. They love seeing the lambs and feeding the lambs."</span></p>
